Mission Statement: The mission of the ADSA is to promote comprehensive community based health care services for individuals in the state of Arkansas who have Down syndrome.
Overview: ADSA was incorporated in Arkansas in 2004 by a group of parents and others who were seeking more comprehensive health care for their children. Establishing a health clinic that will serve adults with Down syndrome is the primary goal of the Association. However, ADSA currently serves its members by increasing awareness of persons with Down syndrome, hosting conferences and events, and providing training opportunities to both families and professionals.
ADSA’s website includes tools such as a database of clinical providers in the state of Arkansas with specialty services available for patients with Down syndrome, links to advocacy and informational resources, newsletters, and information regarding various events throughout the year in support of individuals with Down Syndrome.
