Mission ‘Communication for a lifetime’ The American Speech–Language–Hearing Association (ASHA) is Committed to ensuring that all people with speech, language and hearing disorders receive services to help them communicate effectively.
 
Overview: ASHA Membership in ASHA limited to graduate students or individuals holding a degree or certification in audiology or speech-language pathology.
Non-members may access the ASHA’s online public information and resources for Speech, Language, Swallowing, and Hearing Information and Resources (asha.org) including:
  • Finding a Professional
  • Hearing and Balance [overview, hearing screening and test, assistive technology]
  • Speech, Language and Swallowing
  • About Health Insurance
  • Adding Speech & Hearing Benefits
  • Advocacy & Outreach in Additional Resources [in Spanish, early identification, questions about products and services, talking with Audiologist or SLP, etc.]
 
 
 
ASHA also partners with the National Student Speech Language Hearing Association (NSSLHA); you may check with these Universities in Arkansas to see if they have active NSSLHA chapters:
